I woke up this morning with a determination to just end it. Like a bad relationship, I decided the garden had to go. The time had come to part company with Ed and his dag gum "W.O.R.D. System". Between the bugs, the heat, the drought and a water bill that made me weak in the knees.....
I dressed, assembled all the weapons, and proceeded to the garden!
The cucmbers were the first to go, and by the way...I don't care what the "Vegtable Gardner's Bible" says. They do NOT grow just as well climbing up!
With that done we proceeded on to what was left of the peppers, squash and eggplant.
Pretty easy going until I got to the north end of the garden.
There stood my tomato plants.
I paused....I waffeled....I wavered...
As I stood with my hands on my hips watching those seven overgrown fruitless wonders,
Kaiser said, "I'm not watering them anymore so if you keep them it's totally up to you to water".
No tears were shed, but I was feeling a bit blue....Kaiser patted me on the head and told me not to feel like a quitter.
WHAT? Oh no,no,no....
I am not quitting, no sir!
I sent him to the shed for the roto-tiller
This isn't quitting..this is re-grouping! What I need is better weather, I need a better plan, I NEED.....
...a better BOOK!! Me and Google, we'll figure it out!!
